Freelance Writers:
We know there are many Pittsburghers out there with ideas for stories that would make great contributions to PFM and we'd love to have you on board. Our feature articles typically run between 750-1000 words and need to be seasonally appropriate, interesting, and relevant to Pittsburghers. If you have an idea that you think we could use, please email us with a general writing sample along with as many details as you can about your proposed idea, and we’ll let you know if we think it’s a good fit. If so, you’ll be given the go-ahead to research and write it, collecting your fabulous payment (averaging around $150 for the beginning stage of the magazine) upon completion.
If you already have an article written (that hasn’t previously been published elsewhere), feel free to submit it. Please note though that Pittsburgh Fashion Magazine does not give any freelance writers authority to portray themselves as representatives of the magazine until we have given you official approval to proceed with an idea submitted.
Models:
We welcome amateur and aspiring models to submit photographs for consideration as one of our magazine models. Please send us a photo or two (they don’t have to be professional shots) along with your dress size, pant size, height and shoe size and we’ll let you know if we have an opportunity for you. As you will see in the magazine, we love all different types of looks on women.
Photographers:
If you like fashion and have photography experience, we have occasional needs for photographers to head out on the fashionable streets of Pittsburgh and document the style you find there. If you’re interested, please submit a resume and/or portfolio. The amount of payment depends on the nature and length of the job.
